Prerequisites
Active Exchange email services (see: Add Hosted Services), and a locally installed copy of Outlook 2007.
It is important to note that the professional version of Outlook 2007 is intended to be installed with Office Professional 2007. When installed in a desktop environment that contains a previous version, or different version type of Office some features will be disabled. Installed in conjunction with a version or type mismatch themes, templates, and auto correct won't be available.

Summary
This article will demonstrate how to configure Outlook 2007 with ITSolutionsNow's exchange servers.

1. First please verify that Outlook is not open or running (exit it now). Once this is confirmed, on a local computer navigate to the mail icon in the control panel. Click the Start/Windows Icon button, then click Control Panel, and finally double click the Mail icon. If the Mail icon doesn't appear follow these steps:

2. A window will appear listing three buttons, E-mail Accounts..., Data Files..., Show Profiles..., click the Show Profiles button.

3. Active mail profiles will now be displayed. It is necessary to create a new Outlook profile for proper setup. Click the Add... button.

4. Pick a name for the new profile that will distinguish it from other Outlook profiles. The name is ultimately ambiguous, and will have no effect on the setup of an exchange account. After selecting the name click OK.

5. After the profile name is entered the Auto Account Setup screen will appear. Click the radio button option at the bottom entitled Manually configure server settings or additional server types.

6. Now select the service type, select the radio button for, Microsoft Exchange or compatible service.

7. The first page of the exchange server configuration will now be presented, enter the following in the two fields:
Now click More Settings, do not click Next or Check Name. Note: Outlook may show another dialogue box that is telling you the user name cannot be found. You can click OK or Cancel to this. The goal is to get to the dialogue box in Step 8, where you can configure the connection settings.

8. Click the Connection tab on the top of the window, and then click the check box next to Connect to Microsoft Exchange using HTTP, and then the Exchange Proxy Settings... button.

9. The Exchange proxy settings window will now be displayed. It is imperative the settings are entered accurately. Incorrect settings will prevent Outlook from connecting, double and triple check the settings before finishing.
Once the settings have been entered accurately click OK.

10. Click Apply, then Okay, then click Next. When the Next button is clicked a window will appear asking for the Username, and Password. Enter the full user email address and the associated password. The prompt may appear a few times, but after three the server field, and username field should be underlined.

11. The following screen should now be displayed, this indicates the account setup was successful. Outlook may now be opened. Please note that the time required for Outlook to download the mailbox is inherent upon both the connection speed, and size of the user mailbox.
