Prerequisites
Summary
Public Folder data may be migrated from a decrepit Exchange server, or a previous provider. The migration process will require the end user to have both read/write access to the old public folder and new, sufficient hard drive space to accommodate the subsequent .PST file, and a properly configured Outlook client that is connected to the Exchange 2010 servers: The time required to copy the folder data at either end of the process is predicated upon the speed of the computer, the connection to the Exchange server, and the size of the data file. If any of the aforementioned factors inhibits the speed of transfer, it may be best to allow the process to run overnight. |
1. With Outlook 2010 open right click on the public folder to be migrated and select Move Folder.
