SharePoint Hosting - Modify User Information

Prerequisites

Active Exchange or SharePoint services, see Add Hosted Services.

Summary

This article will demonstrate how update user information as an admin.

 


1. Navigate and login to the organization's SharePoint website.

 

2. From the site home, click on Gear Icon, and then click Site Settings.


2a. Click the username in the top right of the SharePoint site, and click My Settings. Skip to step 5.

3. Under Users and Permissions click People and groups.

4. Locate and click on the user name that will be edited.

5. The user's details will now appear as currently configured. Click the Edit Item button to modify the user.

6. The edit personal settings window will now load listing eight customizable fields to define the user. All are rather straightforward, but note that for any picture to work in field six, it must resolve when clicking Click Here to test. Once all settings are entered click Save.
