Prerequisites
Summary
There are two methodologies to modify user information, the first performed by a site admin, the second by the user themselves. This article will de most rate both approaches in-step until the ubiquitous user detail page is reached.
1. Navigate and login to the organization's SharePoint website. |
2. From the site home, click on Site Actions, and then click Site Settings. |

2a. Click the username in the top right of the SharePoint site, and click My Settings. Skip to step 5. |

3. Under Users and Permissions click People and groups. |

4. Locate and click on the user name that will be edited. |

5. The user's details will now appear as currently configured. Click the Edit Item button to modify the user. |

6. The edit personal settings window will now load listing eight customizable fields to define the user. All are rather straightforward, but note that for any picture to work in field six, it must resolve when clicking Click Here to test. Once all settings are entered click Save. |

7. The user's details page will once again appear reflecting the modified settings for the user. |
