SharePoint Hosting - Add A Blog In SharePoint

Summary

This article will detail the process of adding a blog to a SharePoint site.

1. Navigate and login to the organization's SharePoint website.

 

2. From the site home, click on Site Actions, and then click New Site.


3. Select the category All Types, scroll down and click on Blog, then specify the following information:

  1. Blog Name: Blog title.
  2. URL: The URL as it will appear attached to the SharePoint site.

Additional options such as permissions, description, navigation, and navigation inheritance can be configured under the More Options button. It is not necessary for creation but offers many additional features. When the basic options are entered, click Create.


4. SharePoint will create the blog and then load to the blog home page. The blog is now ready for editing, posting, and further customization.
