Web Hosting - Create Custom HTTP Error Messages

Prerequisites

Active Web services, see Add Hosted Services.

Summary

This article will demonstrate how to customize HTTP error messages.

1. In a web browser navigate to the ITSolutionsNow services control panel:  https://cp.myhostedsolution.com/

2. From the center of the screen hover over the Web icon, and then select Web Sites.

3. Click the pertinent website.

4. The web site properties will load, displaying the current configuration of the website. Referencing the image below, click on the fifth tab, Custom Errors.

5. The custom error tab can be used to provide unique HTTP error messages sent to site visitors in the event web server errors occur. Default HTTP 1.1 errors, custom error files provided in IIS, or custom error files can be used.

  • Code: Custom error messages display HTTP codes, adhering to the standard of HTTP 1.1 error messages. This setting does not need to be changed.
  • Handler Type: Allows for custom pages for different HTTP error codes:
    • File: Enter the location of the file associated with the custom error. Typically this can be found in the root folder for the website or wherever else the files/folders may be placed.
    • URL: Select a URL and enter a valid path to a URL starting with the virtual directory name, for example /virdir1/errors/404.htm
    • Redirect: This resets the default error page of Windows Server where URL allows the error page in URL format.
  • Error Content: This displays the URL/File/Default location depending upon handler type selection.

New custom errors will be added at the end of the custom error list. Once the error information has been entered click the Update button.

I am facing the same issue and I was worried about it, there is no one who can assist me in solving this issue. I am trying to solve it myself my following these step, but all in vain because the issue is still there. I asked the person who provide Help With Assignment Service UK to me, but he himself was not aware of its solution. I will be thankful if anyone helps me by giving me a link of a reliable hosting company, please tell me the website?
