Web Hosting - Enable & Configure Secure Folders

Active Web services, see Add Hosted Services.

Summary

This article will demonstrate how to create secure folders.

1. In a web browser navigate to the ITSolutionsNow services control panel:  https://cp.myhostedsolution.com/

2. From the center of the screen hover over the Web icon, and then select Web Sites.

3. Click the pertinent website.


4. The web site properties will load, displaying the current configuration of the website. Referencing the image below, click on the third tab, Secure Folders.


5. Click Enable Secured Folders.


6. Click OK.


7. After few moments secure folders will be enabled. For the initial setup, groups will be added first, followed by users, and then finally the folders. These processes are demonstrated in the following steps, after completed click the Update button. Groups, Users and Folders may be deleted by click the next to their name.


8. To create a new secure group, click the Add Group button. The Secure Group Properties page will open. Type the name of the group in the Group Name box and click Save button.


9. To create a new secure user, click the Add User button. The Secure User Properties page will open. Type the user name, password, retype password in the User Name, User Password, Confirm password boxes. Select the secure groups to add the user to, then click Save.


10. To create a new secure folder, click the Add Folder button. The Secure Folder Properties page will open. Type a folder title in the Folder Title box, type or browse to the folder path in the Folder Path box and select the secure users and groups to access the folder. Finally, click Save.
